Skyle allows you to change its tracking speed so that you can choose how fast the cursor moves around the screen. The fixation tracking speed is a second parameter which allows you to change the speed of the cursor during a fixation. This means the big movements are based on a different speed parameter than the small movements.

Info

In the Skyle X app you can change these values by going to Settings → Scroll down to “Gaze pointer movement speed presets“.

This preset is recommended for beginners who are struggling with the concept of eye gaze control.

This preset is the default preset which is balanced and should be working for most people out of the box.

This preset is for more advanced users who want to use eye gaze control efficiently and with the highest speed possible.

Info

If you are not comfortable with any of the presets you can set the values of the sliders yourself. Play around with the values until you find a good fit that works for you.

Tip

The gaze pointer speed is a crucial component in the experience of gaze control. When you have found the values that fit your needs the best, Skyle will feel much more accurate to you than before.

Every user experiences eye gaze differently and has personal preferences regarding the speed oft the cursor.
