Calibrate Skyle
Since every user of Skyle has different eyes, is positioned differently in front of Skyle and sits in a different environment, it is important that Skyle is calibrated to achieve the optimal user experience.
A calibration consists of a certain amount of predefined points on the screen that the user must look at when the calibration pointer is displayed. Skyle offers a one, two, five and nine point calibration where the nine point calibration is the most accurate and the one point calibration the least accurate.
Feel free to try out every single one of the calibrations to find the one you are most comfortable with.
Instructions
To calibrate Skyle, follow these steps carefully.
Go into the Skyle X app.
Make sure you are positioned correctly in front of Skyle. This article covers the art of correct positioning which is crucial for an accurate eye gaze experience.
Look at “calibrate“ on the right side of the screen until the app reveals the calibration introduction.
Select the nine point calibration for optimal accuracy at the bottom right of the screen.
Select “Start“.
Follow the calibration pointer with your eyes.
Make sure you don’t move your head too much during the calibration, be relaxed and blinking is allowed.
Skyle is now calibrated to the users eyes and the environment. The user should now be able to control Skyle X with the yellow gaze pointer and outside the app with AssistiveTouch.
